Doctor Skinny and the Wolf Gang present… What If? EP

November 30th, 2009 by Doctor Skinny

The Wolf Gang What If? EP cover

This album is a collaboration between Doctor Skinny and pianist Miss Die Anne. Since she is still not speaking to us, it is likely that this is the last we’ll ever see of this association.

What If? EP is composed of two tracks – “Part 1″ and the second track, cleverly named “Part 2″ -, both with a similar start (a perfectly nice piano composition) and ending (a vortex of absurd sounds).

Download now! Includes FREE superficial lyrics, poor instrumental skills and deficient production.

New song: What If Pt. 2

October 10th, 2009 by Doctor Skinny

This is what happens Doctor Skinny and The Wolf Gang get a hold on perfectly nice and sensible piano compositions.

Piano is played by Miss Die Anne, who is no longer speaking to The Wolf Gang any more.

“What If Pt. 2″ is part of The What If EP, to be released sometime soon. This EP is not recommended as a Christmas gift.

Not so new album: Frequent Liar EP (2008)

January 19th, 2009 by Doctor Skinny

the wolf gang - frequent liar ep (2008)

“Frequent Liar” is probably one of the worst EPs ever. We do not recommend it under any circumstance. Designed to support major airline entertainment programs, it nevertheless seems to have been completely ignored by major CEOs of the flight companies. To comfort ourselves with a frequent lie, we say it has to do with the major financial crisis going on…

Although released after the “Whatever, Yeah EP”, it was actually recorded previously. This has to do with our staff’s marketing strategy (as if they knew what they were doing, the wankers).

It has some takes on love (one of those topics that seem to be taboo among songwriters), but also on other socially conscious topics such as hygiene, alcohol dependance, pets and so on.

Side “A” comprises the first three songs (Drunksman, Unsure Love Song, Social Hygiene), which are more guitar-based.

Side “B” includes the remaining two tracks (Unreasonable Love Song, Pussy Monologues), which were composed with keyboards.

Somewhere along the way you can hear guitar (acoustic and electric), bass, keyboards, clarinet and barking dogs.

Recorded at At Home Studios, in several places.

New album: Whatever, Yeah EP (2008)

January 5th, 2009 by Doctor Skinny

Last December ‘08 we have just released “Whatever, Yeah EP”, our first Jamendo upload.

Whatever, Yeah EP (2008)

Album description

“Whatever Yeah EP” is The Wolf Gang’s latest release. Apart from the fact that all 3 songs start with the letter ‘w’, there isn’t much more to it. “Wicker Man” is a homage to the 1973 classic movie directed by Robin Hardy. “What You Got” is (clearly overstating) a philosophical statement on marxism and materialism. “Whatever Yeah” is just five minutes of nonsense. This album was recorded somewhere between Lisbon, Luanda, San Francisco and Amsterdam (because this band is very cosmopolitan, transnational, globalised).

An Ibanez guitar and a Miditech MIDI keyboard were used at some point.

It was supposed to have been a reggae roots album, but…

….

Feel free to insult this album. We expect your negative comments.
